FFA is the biggest club in Fredericktown High School. In FFA, you learn many skills that pertain to agriculture-based careers. Some people are better at these skills than others, which leads to competitions. Our school competed at FFA Districts and performed pretty well. Many of the people that placed went to state to compete against more and larger schools. Those competitions ended with a star (✳) include members from our school headed to state competitions. Some of the award winners include the following:

Division I Prepared Public Speaking—Augi Hovis, 3rd place✳

Division II Prepared Public Speaking—Libby Mooney, 4th place

Parliamentary Procedure—1st place team: Haley Dockins-Vogt, Sophia Shetley, Lanie Wade, Gennifer Matlock, Kyleigh Gordon, and Maggie Mathes, ✳

Ag Sales—1st place team: Bailey Stamp (1st overall), Sara White (4th overall), Johnee Hargis (2nd overall), and Taylor Barrett✳

Dairy Cattle—2nd place (tied) team: Garrett Graham (3rd overall), Lidia Myers, Chloe Thomas, and Maesyn Rehkop✳

Forestry—3rd place team: Jo Price, Zack Link (4th overall), Daniel Bathe, and Seth Laut✳

Meats—2nd place team: Savannah Hinkle (3rd overall), Kayla Wagner (4th overall), and Malyn Adams✳

Additional teams earned the following placements:

Horses—17th
Knowledge—8th
Ag Mechanics—8th

These men and women did very well in proving that they know agriculture, and I have no doubt that they will kill it at state competitions.
