Four Years of Growth: Chris Sutton and His High School Soccer Legacy

Easton Elrod, Editor

Soccer is more than just a sport to Chris Sutton; it is a part of him.

Starting at a young age, Chris kicked a black and white hexagonal ball around a big field into a goal almost daily. In a surprisingly short amount of time, he grew to love it. He continued to play and develop over time, all the way to his senior year: his last season. Chris balanced work, relationships, school, family, friends, and many other parts of life, and he still made time to improve at soccer. Most of this improvement came in high school, most notably between his junior and senior seasons.

This sport helped him make not only friends, but brothers. Many of his teammates are close to him. They have been through thick and thin together, and are nearly inseparable. Even with a few complications, such as a fight during practice between Seth and A.J., they have only gotten closer.

Chris has received a plethora of great things from this game, and in the future hopes to someday give back. He wishes to help others by introducing them to the game to which he devoted blood, sweat, tears, and time.
