September 27, 2021 was a great day for Fredericktown volleyball team! Junior Varsity and Varsity both beat their opposite Meadow Heights. The Ladycats were ahead all game. They scored point after point never letting up. The girls did a great job of serving and spiking. They also had some very good digs. Both teams never put their head down the whole time! These girls had great communication skills and talked the whole game, never letting the ball drop. The junior varsity game was a close game, but the fans of Fredericktown Lady Cats volleyball knew that they had it as they cheered them on the whole time. Varsity was not as close of a game, but it was still very intense. The Meadow Heights team played a good game and never let up on our Lady Cats Volleyball team, but the girls pulled through with the WIN!
I Interviewed varsity player Rylie Rehkop (11). I asked her about how her season is going she said, “it’s going very good!” The team record as of right now is 26 wins, 3 losses and 1 tie. I also asked her how it feels to be the second most winning team in Fredericktown Volleyball history. She stated, “it feels very good and we take a lot of pride in it.” Rylie’s favorite memory from this year is the bus rides! Specifically the bus rides home she specifies.
All in all the game was very intense. Or as some might call it – a nail bitter. The Ladycats put up a good fight against their opponent Meadow Heights, but the team got the win! They couldn’t have done it without the help of the student section who never left a dull moment. They parents and other people there had a big part in the loud cheering as well! Overall I think everyone there can say I was a very good game to watch.
