Every year, Fredericktown High School hosts an athletic banquet for student athletes participating in a winter sport. This event is hosted in the cafeteria and gives the coaches a chance to talk about their season and give recognition to their great teams of players. Some players are even given awards as voted by the rest of the team and decided by the coach. The seniors would then give a short speech to their loving coach and show how much they appreciate him/her. There is also a dinner that precedes after all of these events, where the parents make the tastiest food known to man. Words can’t really do justice to what this banquet means to these athletes.
