The Domino’s Effect

Local business gives back to its community, one pie at a time

Recently, local pizzeria Domino’s Pizza ran a promotion (aptly named “Dough Raiser”) in which 20% of all sales that day were donated towards Project Graduation 2019. The “Dough Raiser” ended up raising over $400 for the event.

This type of community interaction isn’t surprising, mentioning that the company’s slogan is “locally owned and operated.” They have also run fundraisers for JROTC and The Glass Slipper Project, the latter of the two being a group whose goal is to assist high school girls afford a prom dress. Inside the store, you will find a wall of awards which includes various newspaper clippings of the company contributing to the community during festivals and other events. They even have special rates for the local churches and schools who typically have bigger orders to feed a large amount of people.

It’s rare to find a company that cares about its community as much as this franchise does,  and in a small town, it’s the smallest actions that can have the biggest impact.
