The Lady Blackcats Soccer team really knows how to start a season off right. As of April 1st, 2019, the team is currently 7-1, and show no signs of slowing down. They defeated Desoto by scoring 9 and holding them at a fat doughnut the whole game. The only loss was to Perryville, a team that is 5-1, with the game staying close at 1-2.

This success can be attributed in no small part to the synergy and skill of the Buxton trio; comprised of Alayna, Arika, and Alivia. They all grew up playing soccer, and that combination of experience and familiarity has led to success this year.

Alivia was recently awarded with the Maxpreps Player of the Week award for the state of Missouri. For the season, she has 11 goals and 4 assists. When asked about this achievement, she said she was really excited about the opportunity. On Maxpreps she is currently ranked 32nd in Missouri, and 529th Nationally.

We can hopefully expect this success to continue going into the Windsor tournament today. Be sure to support our Lady Blackcats!
