Sensei and the School

Anime Club kicked off their first meeting of the year with a bang. Introductions of the advisor and members, an agenda that lists upcoming events, and a game to get to know each other. They all connected over their love of the Japanese culture.===

An old Japanese legend claims that if a person can make 1,000 paper cranes, their wish of everlasting peace and good health will be granted. Anime club decided to take on the challenge to help raise money towards awesome activities. The sale will start Monday September, 25 and end Tuesday October, 1o. They will be selling the paper cranes during all three lunches starting at $1. You can choose from 17 colors! If you’re feeling a little extra you can purchase a tie-dye one for $2. Once you purchase one of these cranes, you can add your name or dedicate someone else’s name on the side. The cranes will then be taped around the school. 20% of all proceeds will go towards St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in honor of a twelve-year old girl, Sadako Sasaki, that passed away from cancer due to radiation poisoning from the bombing of Hiroshima. She was only able to make 644 out of 1,000.

Help your Anime Club continue to do awesome things and purchase a paper crane!
