Future Business Leader of America (FBLA) gives many high school students the opportunity to explore careers in business while developing leadership skills. At our high school, FBLA students spend the year preparing for competitions and leadership activities. Students compete in events such as public speaking, business leadership, and communication, allowing them to apply classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios. Members can advance from district level to state level, showcasing their hard work, dedication and teamwork. FBLA continues to help students build confidence and prepare for future careers in business.
The FBLA team just recently had a competition where many members took home awards for the school. First, Katelyn Hebert brought home 5th place in Visual Design; Quinton Warren brought home 5th place in Data Science & AI and 5th place in Personal Finance; as well as Aiden Schultz bringing home 2nd place in Cyber Security and 2nd place in Customer Service. Jalen Elrod won 2nd place in Intro to Parliamentary Procedure, and Kane St. Nicholas brought home 2nd place in Intro to Marketing Concepts. In this competition members from over 16 schools competed in over 65 events, these events are challenging, and they range from multiple-choice testing to timed performance events and case scenarios. This year the FBLA organization has been around for 84 years. At our high school we have 21 FBLA members, and the club is advised by Mrs. Brenda Jenkins. They have had a very successful season so far and hope they continue to do so at the rest of their competitions this season. Congratulations to the member that brought home awards!
